  Amenities Not As Described, Stifling Room, Did Not Honor Refund Promise

  I booked a 5-night stay at this hotel specifically because their official listing explicitly stated the room included Air Conditioning and a Refrigerator. Upon checking into my room, I found that neither of these advertised amenities were present. The room was incredibly hot, stuffy, and completely uncomfortable. The actual condition of the room was far below the standard shown in their online photos and made it impossible to stay. Because the room was unlivable without the advertised AC, I was forced to return my keys and check out immediately, staying for barely one hour. When I checked out, I explained the missing amenities to the front desk staff. They acknowledged the issue and verbally promised me a full refund for my stay. However, once I left the property, the hotel management completely ignored all of my follow-up emails. They have continuously refused to provide the necessary written confirmation to my booking platform to process the refund they promised. I am now out nearly $370 because the hotel will not take responsibility for their inaccurate online listing and will not honor the verbal agreement made by their own staff. I strongly advise future travelers to be extremely cautious, as the amenities listed online may not exist, and the customer service is completely unresponsive once they have your money.

  Don't forget anything of value in the room !

  I was there on a work trip in early January a little over a week ago. This hotel is in the Tenderloin neighborhood, so get ready for a lot of homelessness on nearby streets. I saw human feces just outside the hotel the first morning I was there. But the 1-star review is not for that. The hotel and rooms are clean enough and you will get housekeeping service if you ask for it. The problem was trustworthiness. Two days after checking out, I realized I had left a fairly expensive hair dryer in the bathroom. I called immediately and was told someone would call me back - I explained I lived an hour away and could come pick it up. No response. I called again - this time it was a rude gentleman. I called a third time when a nice gentleman named Bill answered and took down all the information, and promised to call back, but never did. How could a big hair dryer simply vanish? The fact that I called 3 times with no response from the staff shows there's zero accountability.
