About Casablanca
Casablanca is Morocco's economic capital and the country's main long-haul gateway. It's less touristy than Marrakech or Fes, but the art-deco downtown, Corniche waterfront and monumental Hassan II Mosque make it a worthwhile stop — or an easy base before a train south.

April–June and September–November bring warm 20–26°C days with light ocean breezes. Winter is mild and occasionally rainy; July–August are hot but tempered by the Atlantic.

The tram network links the medina, Corniche and TGV rail station. Petit taxis are cheap — insist on the meter. Casablanca-Mohammed V (CMN) airport connects to the city by direct train in 40 minutes.
