关于 sahara desert tours
A Sahara desert tour is the single most requested Morocco itinerary — and for good reason. In two or three days you cross four of the country's most striking landscapes: the snow-dusted High Atlas passes, the fortified kasbahs of the Draa and Dades valleys, palm oases, and finally the tall orange dunes of Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga.
Our operators run small-group and private departures every day of the year. Every itinerary includes the same core stops (Tizi n'Tichka pass, Ait Ben Haddou, Dades or Todra Gorge, Merzouga sunset camel trek, night in a dune camp), but timings and detours flex to your pace.

The classic loop: Ait Ben Haddou, Dades Valley, sunset camel trek and a night in an Erg Chebbi camp before returning via Ouarzazate.
Same highlights as the loop, but you end in Fes instead of returning — perfect for onward flights or a northern extension.
Adds a proper walk in the Todra Gorge and a night in a Berber guesthouse in the Dades — the version we'd take ourselves.
Fully private vehicle, five-star riads and luxury tented camp with king beds, private bathrooms and a butler at Erg Chebbi.

3 days / 2 nights is the minimum from Marrakech to Merzouga. 4 days lets you slow down through the Dades and Todra gorges.
Yes — our operators are licensed, insured and drive well-maintained 4x4s. Roads are paved almost all the way to the dunes.
Shared 4x4 tours (6 passengers max) are the most affordable and fun for solo travellers. Private tours cost more but let you choose stops, timing and language.
Transport in a 4x4 or minibus, English/French/Spanish driver, all accommodation (riad + desert camp), breakfasts and dinners, and a camel trek at Erg Chebbi. Lunches and drinks are usually extra.
Yes — many travellers do a one-way tour from Marrakech and fly back from Fes (or vice-versa). Ask your operator to arrange a drop-off at the airport.
Most EU, UK, US, Canadian and Australian passports get 90 days visa-free on arrival. Check your country's rules before travelling.
Alongside Morocco, travellers use Marhaba for desert trips in Egypt, Dubai and the UAE, AlUla in Saudi Arabia, Wadi Rum in Jordan, Tunisia, Oman, Qatar, Namibia, the Atacama in Chile and the American Southwest. Each destination links straight to the operator's live listings.
It depends on the hemisphere and altitude. North African and Middle Eastern deserts are most comfortable from October to April, Namibia's Namib is popular in the cooler May to September window, and the high-altitude Atacama is visited year-round with cold nights. Check the operator's notes for the dates you have in mind.
Guided tours handle permits, dune driving and camps, which suits Morocco, Egypt, Wadi Rum and Dubai. Self-drive works well in Namibia, Oman and the American Southwest. You can compare both on Marhaba and add flights, hotels and a car to the same trip.
